The Story of Mine Condoms™ Hello! My name is Karen Scaglia and I am the owner and founder of Mine Condoms™. Mine Condoms™ is a company born from the vision of a single woman who wanted more. After my divorce, I re-entered the world of dating. I soon realized "the times they were a-changing" and I was going to have to change with them. My girlfriends graciously informed me of the new rules. First and foremost, sex without a condom was unacceptable. So being the proactive girl that I am, I headed off to the nearest drug store. I stared at the wall of "Ruff Riding", "Studded" and "Ribbed for Her Pleasure", but something was missing. Where was the box for me? Oh, this won't do! I don't buy a man's razor, so why would I buy condoms packaged for men? Still perplexed and unable to contact Dr. Ruth, I called the next best thing - our local cougar. She informed me that those were my only options, take it or leave it! I replied that when my knight in shining armor arrives, he won't be on the side of a condom box. This was all just too much for me. Later, when I arrived home after some much needed "retail therapy", I started unwrapping all of my goodies. I was so excited about my purchases and how I would use them. Suddenly it came to me - this is exactly how my personal protection buying experience should be. And the idea for Mine Condoms™ was born. Things aren't always as easy as they seem, but never underestimate the power of a woman with a plan. Over the past two years, Mine Condoms™ has encountered a variety of setbacks - from merchant account denial to shipping and box companies with moral conflicts concerning condoms. Who knew? Strangely enough, many companies are uncomfortable acknowledging female sexuality. Nevertheless, Mine Condoms™ has risen to the challenge and accepted each as an opportunity. The Story of Karen Scaglia Karen Scaglia has spent most of her career in the beauty industry as a model and later moving into hair and make-up design. Hailing from North Carolina, she moved to New York with her modeling career while in her teens and later moved to Milan, Italy. She currently lives in Charlotte with her cat, Bella and a very cute Newfoundland named Wella. Karen is still looking for Mr. Right and believes true love might just be around the next corner.
